Support innovators to drive sustainability outcomes in regional WA

The CONNECT Sustainable Industries program is a business incubator supporting five regional WA startups with mentoring, site visits, co-working space, and a showcase at the Regional Innovation Summit, to drive sustainable innovation and economic growth. Applications closed Monday 11 August.

Empowering regional women to gain skills, connections and financial freedom

LEEF is a six-month program empowering up to 10 regional women with mentoring, workshops, and office space to build emotional and financial resilience, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills in a supportive co-working environment.

Helping regional youth develop entrepreneurial mindsets to foster innovation

This free youth entrepreneurship initiative supports up to 10 aspiring innovators aged 16–25 in the South West region whether developing a startup, launching a new idea, or driving innovation within a larger business. Participants receive one-on-one mentoring, access to co-working space, and training. Participants graduate with a $1,000 bursary to help cover startup or professional development costs. An inspiring set of 7 events showcasing the journeys of local startup founders and innovators. Held in an informal and engaging setting, the series connects aspiring entrepreneurs, investors, and community members, fostering a supportive innovation ecosystem and sparking new collaborations across the South West of Western Australia.

Australia's South West Tourism Product Incubator Program

Delivery of a Tourism Product Incubator in partnership with Australia’s South West, the peak regional tourism organisation. This program was an innovation and entrepreneurship mentoring program to guide business agility, and support new product development.

Get SET Series

A practical, hands-on event series designed to equip regional entrepreneurs and small business owners with the skills, tools, and knowledge needed to grow and innovate. Hosted at The SET in Vasse, each session focuses on a key business topic delivered by experienced facilitators and guest experts in an interactive format including networking.

Innovation Cluster gave me the opportunity to connect with so many great minds in the South West, and I was fortunate enough to be paired with Mat as my mentor for the Future Founders program. By putting myself out there, taking risks and getting involved with industry programs and the wider community, it allowed me to form relationships that previously I thought were not possible, and opened so many doors for me to explore and be given opportunities for me to make the most of. Without Innovation Cluster and the Future Founders program I would not be in the position I am today as a Familiarisation Coordinator at Tourism WA, and I couldn’t recommend the program enough for any young dreamers who want guidance and support in reaching their goals.
