DESCRIPTION:WA tech startups can apply to be part of a delegation at London Tech Week\, designed to showcase how tech is transforming business and society\, and bring the tech ecosystem together to drive change.\nThe Western Australian Government\, through Invest and Trade WA (ITWA)\, will support up to 10 WA technology startups to join a trade mission to the United Kingdom for LTW 2023\, from 12 to 16 June.\n\n\nWA tech startups ready to expand into European markets are likely to find it beneficial. \nCompanies will be selected through a competitive expression of interest (EOI) process. Candidates should explain how participating in London Tech Week will benefit your business. \nThe mission will assist WA companies to scale up and access the talent\, funding and customers they need to grow. It will also raise awareness of Western Australian technology and solutions capabilities\, to attract talent\, businesses and investors to WA. \nSuccessful companies will be provided with exclusive opportunities\, including: \n\nA pre-mission briefing in Perth with presentations from key WA Government leaders\, including ITWA.\nA welcome reception hosted by the Western Australian Government Office in London (WAGO).\nA business networking event with an opportunity to engage with delegates from other Australian jurisdictions.\nWorkshops hosted by the UK’s Department of International Trade (DIT)\, including a regional session\, and a session on the Global Entrepreneur Programme.\nA DIT workshop about the UK opportunity and free trade agreement outcomes for business.\nNetworking evenings.\nAdditional bespoke meetings with key London stakeholders facilitated by DIT.\nBusiness matching and venture capital support.\n\nTravel\, accommodation\, insurance\, meals and on-ground expenses are at the cost of the delegate. \n\nApply here: https://www.wa.gov.au/government/announcements/expressions-of-interest-london-tech-week

SUMMARY:Iron Ore Circuit Hackathon
DESCRIPTION:Hack 1: 21st April 12:30pm – 6:30pm \nHack 2: 28th April 12:30pm – 6:30pm \nThe hackathon will bring together industry professionals\, academic experts\, programmers and students to compile innovative\, data-driven recommendations to consider opportunities to improve the efficiency of Southern Ports’ iron ore loading circuit. \nThe government-owned Authority operates three ports at Albany\, Bunbury and Esperance\, with a combined trade of more than 36 million tonnes. There are 6 categories in the awards\, with prizes per category ranging from $10\,000 to $50\,000.
